A colourful Suffragette tribute ring modelled in silver and gilded in 18ct yellow gold. The marquise face is decorated with two green peridots, a violet amethyst and four white pearls, with an open-work pattern running down the sides.
Jewellery displaying the colours green, violet and white were often worn in support of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) which was at the forefront of the UK suffrage movement in the early 1900s. They adopted these three colours to highlight their key virtues: Violet for Royalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, and also formed the phrase “Give Women Votes!”
It’s a wonderful homage to such a historic movement and the contrasting stones look beautiful spread over the finger.
